15th Euros from your salary contest

These awards recognize the work of 12 NGOs in the categories of international cooperation, disability, social inclusion and health. They will all receive an economic contribution funded with donations from Santander’s own employees in Spain.

Since 2011, Banco Santander has earmarked a total of €420,000 through “Euros from your Salary” to projects of various NGOs to support research and therapeutic development for children and their families.

Each award-winning organization will receive EUR 42,190 thanks to the contributions of Banco Santander employees to the Euros From Your Salary programme (in which the bank matches each euro donated by the employees) and to the extraordinary contribution made by Ana Botín, executive chairman of Banco Santander.

In total, 12 organizations were chosen, each of which will receive €42,117 thanks to the contributions made by Banco Santander employees to the Euros From Your Salary programme, in which the bank matches every euro they donate.

Banco Santander and its employees  have allocated nearly 200.000 euros through Euros From Your Salary' programme to projects of different entities that seek the full inclusion of people with the Down Syndrome.

Her Majesty Queen Letizia and Santander Group executive chairman Ana Botín this morning presided over the award ceremony for the Bank's 11th Social Projects Event, where 12 initiatives chosen by the Bank's employees in Spain from more than 300 submissions received over EUR 40,000 each. Since this philanthropic programme was implemented eleven years ago, it has awarded a total of EUR 3 million to 82 NGOs and provided assistance to more than 45,000 people.
